Around two weeks ago, I packed my bags for my trip to Honolulu. I decided to take with me this dress from Ann + Marie, who I collaborated with for their #parcelsgoingplaces campaign, as it was the perfect opportunity. They curated my parcel by asking me which girl I resonated to the most – Ann or Marie.
Young, emotional and reckless. Admires a streamlined aesthetic but doesn’t mind throwing a bit of unusual pieces in the mix. Lives to read books + drink good beer + make art + write + travel from time to time. If Manila weren’t home, would live at Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York.
City girl during the week, but when Friday comes: a definite weekend warrior. Her style is part polished, part boho. Her bucket list includes walking the streets of Paris, roughing it out in the African safari, and exploring the pristine beaches of the Philippines. If Manila weren’t home, would live at Paris, France.
When my parcel came, I was excited and curious of what they chose for me based on my answer and lo and behold, it was this lovely dress.
A week ago, we decided to head to immerse ourself in art at the Honolulu Museum of Art (documented on Snapchat, jelinecatt, so add me up if you haven’t) and this dress was perfect for the museum visit.
Actually, it was made for it.
The museum curated artworks from different parts of the world. You get to see a glimpse of the culture of every country that was showcased and that was pretty interesting to me. I was captivated by every single masterpiece.
Visiting museums / art galleries will always be one of my favourite things to do and I need to visit more. If you have any recos, let me know!
